  • McCrory-500 Two Part Epoxy Tank Lining

Since 1989 McCrory Engineering Inc. has manufactured and installed  McCrory-500  two part epoxy tank lining to domestic & fire water tanks (formally MEI-500) throughout Houston and the gulf coast area. Through the years we have expanded our tank services; offering fabrication and installation of: manways, anti-vortex plates, ladders, sight glass, steel repair and replacement. Frac tanks are available for facilities requiring temporary sources of water while tanks are under going refurbishment.

  • Houston Fire Department - Life Safety Bureau (LSB) Standard 02, Rev 01.1 Inspection and Testing

2.5.6.2 Water storage tanks - An approved service company shall flow test water tanks and piping systems, and perform an interior inspection at least every 5 years, in accordance with NFPA 25, 

6-2.4 The interior inspection of the tank shall include the following(a) The interior coating shall be inspected for signs of local or general failure. 

    (f) The anti-vortex plate shall be inspected

  • Warranty

Two (2) years on the McCrory-500 tank lining, labor and materials which may be extended for an additional two (2) years by utilizing the McCrory-500 warranty inspection and touchup program.

McCrory-500 is used as a lining for internal corrosion control and product purity protection. Common uses include the interior surfaces of tanks and cooling tower sumps. McCrory-500 lining performs at temperatures to 160ºF (71.1ºC) continuous immersion, and 200ºF (93.3ºC) intermittent immersion. It is odorless and emits no solvent vapors, making it ideal for confined space applications. Open as PDF
